A Creative Community in Seattle, WA

What We Do

We gather together once per month on the second Monday in-person at Northminster Presbyterian and on Zoom to engage in the creative process. Our society teaches that only sellable things are valuable. We push back against this dehumanizing ethic and invite all to find their creative voice. As we do so, we discover that creating together opens doors to a community where we know and trust ourselves and our neighbors better.

You are welcome as you are. We hope that you will come share these spaces with us! Check out our Events page for more information on what we are up to, and subscribe to our email list below for updates.

 Who We Are

Coastland Commons is an LGBTQIA-affirming community, opposing racism in all its forms, and exploring the intersection of all human identities.

A New Worshipping Community of the Presbyterian Church (USA), Coastland Commons is rooted in way of Jesus. We resist Christianity’s exclusivist impulses and instead believe that God moves in and through all of life. We make space for a multiplicity of perspectives and meaning-making paradigms to join together in community and creativity.

Bianca Quezada, Leadership Team Chair

Bianca is an ordained pastor in the Presbyterian Church (USA) and works as a Children & Family pastor in Seattle. Although she was made for numbers, spreadsheets, and organizing, she immensely enjoys the time set aside to explore her creativity and the arts. Coastland Commons is for every type of person and is truly a great way to get in touch with your creative side along with working with your inner thoughts and emotions. Bianca enjoys watching the Mariners and being on water.
